Protecting Your Privacy While Browsing This Site

We understand that your privacy matters. If you are concerned that someone may be monitoring your online activity, there are steps you can take to cover your visit to this site. Whether you are seeking information or exploring the resources on our site, you deserve to feel safe doing so. Below are some practical steps to help you minimize the digital footprint left behind on your device.

What traces does your device keep?

Your computer, phone, or tablet automatically keeps a record of your online activity. This can include:

  • Websites you have visited.
  • Words you have searched.
  • Information you have entered into forms.
  • Videos you have watched.
  • Files or images you have downloaded.

These traces are often created automatically in the background. If someone has access to your device, they may be able to see this information.

How to Hide Your Digital Traces

It is difficult to erase every trace of your activity, but these steps can help.

If you visited our site without using a private window, you can delete the record afterward. Look for this option under History, Preferences, or Settings in your browser.

When deleting, you can choose what to remove (history, cached images, cookies) and the time period (the last hour, 24 hours, or all time). Selecting everything is the safest choice.

If your browser is signed into a Google account, your activity may also be stored online. Go to the Data and Privacy section of your Google account settings to clear that as well.

Most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) offer a private or incognito mode. In this mode, the browser does not save your history, cookies, or form entries. Open a private window before visiting our site, and close it when you are done.

Keep in mind that files you download will still be saved to your device, even in private mode.

Clearing your browsing history does not remove files you have downloaded. If you saved any documents or resources from our site, you will need to delete them separately.

Deleted files are usually moved to the Trash or Recycle Bin, where they can still be found. Empty the Trash or Recycle Bin to remove them completely.
